When Elise gave birth to the twins, the devil came to her to take what she promised - her first child, Goldia. Henri decided that it wasn't right to let Goldia be taken, so he had recorded his will to search for a solution on a gramophone. Goldia's father and younger twin brother, Henri, had also known about the contract between Elise and the devil. In order to end her journey through her memories and wake in reality, Goldia must discover and accept every one of her personalities, which can be confirmed by their regalias. In the process, she discovers her different personalities (Fleta, Harpae, Lisette) from the past. Hence, Goldia begins a search for her identity in the different worlds of her own mind, which is filled with pain and terrible truths. As a result, she loses her identity and all her memories surrounding it. The different characters in this game represent her personas in some points of her life.īefore Goldia was born, her mother, Elise, promised her first-born to the devil to have a chance at happiness (escape from poverty). Pocket Mirror is a story about a lost, young girl struggling with dissociative identity disorder, taking a journey to discover who she is.
